Hien sets new course record
Hien McManus continues to set a scorching pace with a new course record 72 on 5 July in the Monthly Medal round of Everglades women's golf.
Thursday, July 5, also saw the qualifying round of the Singles Knock-out with 32 to qualify.
The Gosglades Cup was played on July 2 at Everglades.
This is always a competitive day between Everglades and Gosford, and on the day Everglades came home the winners 10 matches to 8.
Greg and Marie Conallin have been playing good golf lately, having won the Mixed 2-Ball Knock-out from Hien McManus and Luke Gregory.
It was a keenly contested match with Greg and Marie winning 4 and 3.
The previous week Greg and Marie, along with the partnerships Joy Hall-Terry Godley and Pat-Rod Clarke, played at Toukley in the Mazda 2-Ball District Playoff.
The eventual winners were a pair from Toukley who go on to play at Riverside Oaks.
The Foursomes Championships will be held on August 23 and a big field is expected.
Entry fee per person is $7.50 plus $5.80 for the event of the day and entries close today, August 14.
The event will be played over 27 holes in two Divisions.
A Cocktail Party will be held on that day commencing at 4.45 pm followed by the Presentation of Trophies.
Judy Dunstan has had surgery on her wrist and shoulder over the past few months and will not be able to play golf in the foreseeable future.
Judy has transferred to Womens Bowls for a period of time until she is able to assess the chances of returning to golf.
The Womens Golf AGM will be held on Thursday, October 25, at 9am.
Nominations have been called for the committee, with a number of vacancies caused by retirements.
The vacant Veterans Delegate position will also be filled.
