New minor singles champ Barry OConnor came from behind to defeat Jon Gibbon in their final played recently.
Both bowlers displayed their talents at different stages of the match with Barry winning comfortably in the end.
Everglades bowlers Bruce Harper and Bruce McDonald gave a big early lead to their opposition before coming out winners in the zone senior pairs at Norah Head recently.
Starting at long odds in prestige company, the two gave it all in three hard fought preliminaries to reach the final.
The tournament scheduled over two days stretched over three weekends due to weather.
Two other Everglades bowlers, Bob Hock and Ted Hewson, were surprise losers in their semi-final match after holding a good lead near the last few ends.
At that stage it looked likely to be an all Everglades final.
