Embroidery workshop held

Carolyn Ford will be conducting a wool embroidery workshop at Ettalong Beach Arts and Crafts Centre on Saturday, August 18, from 9am to 3pm.

The workshop will be "hands on" and makes use of silk ribbon, satin ribbon and wool.

Carolyn is a resident of the Central Coast and a retired school teacher.

Third term classes began July 23 and run for nine weeks.

Classes are available in patchwork and quilting, folk art, creative writing, drawing, pastels, contemporary oils, acrylics, multicrafts, children’s pottery, sculpture.

Pastel, drawing, contemporary oils and acrylic classes are conducted by Ann Parker each Wednesday.

Ann’s classes at the Centre are suitable for beginners and more experienced artists.

During class, Ann allows students to explore a variety of techniques including hatching, blending, pointillism and crosshatching as well as the use of mixed media.

Ann helps students to work creatively from life and photographs, and has the objectives of developing students to their potential in working creatively and confidently.

The centre is located at Kitchener Park at the corner of Picnic Pde and Maitland Bay Dr, Ettalong Beach.
