Mobile counselling service

A mobile counselling service is being made available to women in outlying areas of the Peninsula.

The new service aims to meet the needs of women and families in crisis situations, particularly those where lack of transport inhibits their access to counsellors.

The service has been designed to cover crises of relationship, grief and pregnancy, which are not addressed by the existing services for domestic violence, substance and gambling addiction and for children.

The service is available through the Peninsula Women's Health Clinic, Woy Woy, as well as through other neighbourhood and family centres across the Coast.

Fees are charged on a sliding scale fee from $5 to $30, according to income.

Counselling days are Monday to Thursday.

For more information and bookings, phone Judy Melville on 0438 434 156 or 4332 7450.
