Auditions held for musical
Children from Years 3 to 6 recently auditioned for major and minor roles in Pretty Beach Public Schools musical to be staged next term.
The musical is divided into eight acts, six of them will be performed by one each of the six classes, another by a mixed group of children keen for additional participation, and the eighth, the finale, will feature all children back on stage.
There are four major roles, depicting two boys and two girls who take the audience through Australias first 100 years.
The class acts will involve song, movement and some individual speaking roles.
While the teachers will be the class co-ordinators, the school is relying on the help of parents.
Narelle Jones (music), Shelley King (choreography), Bev Callow (drama) and Margie McFadyen (costuming) will lead the production team, and each class will be asking for parents with skills in these areas to polish their class item.
