Chess team plays

The Empire Bay Public School championship chess team played against Avoca Beach on Friday, August 3.

Ian Lamb, Kayne Richardon-Hassett and Chris Elton all won their games.

Myles MacQuillan filled in as a reserve and lost his game.

The final score was 3-1 to Empire Bay.

The championship team also competed against Kincumber, and again Empire Bay was successful and won 3-1.

Lachlan O’Donnell filled in for Jeffrey Limb.

The Empire Bay Rookies team is still undefeated.

Michael Koole, Lachlan O’Donnell, Ben Crain and Simon Koole, recently played against Avoca Beach.

Everyone won their game, with Lachlan having an easy win in four moves.

Lachlan was filling in for Shawn Lenard.
