Woy Woy South holds swimming carnival

Woy Woy South Public School held its annual swimming carnival at Woy Woy pool on February 19.

Students competed for four sporting houses across all age groups.

The final events of the day were the 4x50m freestyle relays.

The junior girls' and senior boys' relays were won by Cook house and junior boys' and senior girls' relays were won by Macquarie house.

In the end, Macquarie beat Cook for overall pointscore for the fourth consecutive year.

Non-competitive swimmers were catered for with novelty events conducted in the 25m indoor pool.

Age champions were: junior boys Thomas McParlane, junior girls Gaby Krucler, 11yr boys Bryce Sainty, 11yr girls Rebecca Hook, senior boys DJ Hogan, senior girls Jemma Gordon.

A total of 35 students were chosen to represent the school at the Woy Woy Zone carnival.
