Peter Moore

The Woy Woy Peninsula urgently needs improved health services, more doctors, improved public transport, increased police resources, more funding for roads and better public education.

The Labor Party considers Peats to be a safe seat and therefore it has ignored these basic needs and taken the electorate for granted.

This is not good enough.

I stand for giving Woy Woy Hospital a 24-hour emergency-casualty department, more doctors, Medicare and bulk billing to be retained, more trains, safe and secure parking at railway stations, improved bus services, detectives for Woy Woy and re-opening Umina Police Station, more funding for road improvements reduced class sizes, fair and just compensation for all Injured persons.

These are significant issues which affect the quality of life for the residents of the Woy Woy Peninsula.

These are issues that I will fight strongly for and I will not have to following any party political line.

There is little difference between the policies of the Labor Party and the Liberal Party and that the only way for the needs of the electorate to be provided for is for a strong independent.

I am such a person and I have never belonged or been a member of any political party.

I am a Gosford solicitor who has lived in the electorate of Peats for 24 years.

I have been a Rotarian for 13 years and am a past president of the Rotary Club of Gosford North.

In addition I have been a Red Cross Telecross volunteer for 10 years.

I am a former alderman on Gosford Council.
