Rotary club hosts students for a weekend
The Rotary Club of Umina Beach hosted 27 exchange students from all over the world for a weekend recently.
The students are currently spending 12 months in Rotary District 9680, which stretches from North Sydney to Lake Munmorah across to Ryde and over to Palm Beach.
The purpose of the weekend was to show the students the highlights of the Central Coast.
They visited tourist spots such as the reptile park, took a trip on Brisbane Water in the Lady Kendall and participated in an observation car rally around the Central Coast beaches.
There was a bush dance on the Saturday at the Ocean Beach Surf Club.
The weekend finished with a briefing from the Rotary District Officers telling them about the district conference to be held in Canberra late this month and a three-week safari all students will embark on shortly afterwards.
