Instructors compete in Queensland

Two instructors from Authentic Taekwon-Do in Woy Woy have competed in the International Taekwon-Do Federation Australian Titles at the Sunshine Coast in Queensland recently.

Instructor Amanda Morrison, 22, a third Degree Black Belt competed in the under-52kg Female Black Belt Sparring Division.

Instructor Paul Mason, 19, a first Degree Black Belt competed in the male over-80 kg Male Black Belt Division.

The National Titles are the final selection competition for a place in the Australian Team that will be travelling to Thessaloniki, Greece, in June for the Taekwon-Do Federations World titles.

Prospects are high for both to make it into the National Team.

Both Amanda and Paul train in Authentic Taekwon-Do Central Coast Headquarters in Alma Ave, Woy Woy, where Amanda is the head instructor.

Amanda has been training in Taekwon-Do for 12 years and has been instructing for six years.

Paul has been training for around five years and achieved his Instructor Certificate in January.
