Mothers' tears on first day

St John the Baptist at Woy Woy has welcomed 46 new children into kindergarten this year.

There were a few tears, mainly from the mothers, on the first day.

Most of the children had met each other at the Early Birds program which is run for incoming children in the fourth term of each year.

This program enables the incoming children to become familiar with the school surroundings, the classrooms, the teachers and their new classmates.

With the children settled into class, the parents were welcomed by parents from the previous kindergarten year with a morning tea in the staffroom.
