Appointed as superintendent

Empire Bay resident Mr Wayne Ible has won a senior position with the Department of Education and Training.

Mr Ible, who has been Henry Kendall High School principal for the last four years, has been made the Newcastle district superintendent of schools.

He will be in charge of 65 public schools from Port Stephens to Redhead, just north of Lake Macquarie.
