Umina residents object to three-storey development
A petition, with 20 signatures, has been received by Gosford Council from residents of Rickard St, Umina, objecting to a development at 204 West St, Umina.
The council was told the proposal of a three-storey development was far too high for a residential street and was totally out of character with the existing dwellings, both on West St and Rickard St.
The petition claimed the development was in conflict with the amenity of a residential street which was close to a beach and in a relatively quiet area.
The development would increase traffic and noise, and add to parking and drainage problems in the street.
