Buses promoted for pleasant day out

Busways is promoting a number of its regular services for people wanting a "scenic tour" or a "pleasant day out".

"You do not have to book in advance. Just turn up at the bus stop," said Busways' spokesman Mr Robert Henderson.

Mr Henderson said that many of Busways' regular bus routes on the Central Coast were scenic trips in themselves.

The routes included those to Patonga and from Woy Woy to Gosford via Ettalong, The Rip Bridge, Kincumber and Erina Fair.

"People with an hour or more to spare can take the bus to any of these places," he said.

"Then they have the choice of returning on the same bus, or take the time to have a cup of coffee or a bite to eat before heading home again.

"It's not an expensive day out."

Buses also linked with other services, including the Ettalong to Palm Beach ferry and the trains at Woy Woy.

Buses went to the major shopping centres of Erina Fair and Westfield Tuggerah, as well as some of the smaller centres like Lake Haven, Toukley, Umina and Ettalong.

"There are plenty of opportunities to get around the Central Coast with a Busways' driver as your chauffeur," said Mr Henderson.
