Take power from 'do nothing' authorities

The National Parks and Wildlife Service and Gosford Council are securing land around our area but unfortunately they can't or don't try to look after it.

National Parks should be where people can drive to a picnic spot not a heap of bush and undergrowth causing fires and people's homes to burn down.

It's about time that both bodies tried to back burn in the winter so that residents wouldn't be afraid of fires.

Fireman did a good job after fire occurred but too late, just God's help with the wind direction saved our properties.

It's time power was given to the fire authority to do what they think fit, not leave it to the "do nothings".
