Liam wins national board race
Liam Jackson, from the Umina Surf Life Saving Club, came first in his age group in a national board rescue competition in Tasmania recently.
Liam competed for NSW in the under-13 age group at the Australian Interstate competition held at Clifton Beach, Tasmania.
His results also included a second place in the individual board and fifth in the iron person events.
The competition pits the best surf lifesaving athletes from each state against each other, and ranks as the toughest in the world.
The NSW junior team finished second, just a couple of points behind Queensland.
