Golf fixtures book finalised

The Everglades fixtures book has been finalised for the new year's men's golf.

The events have been varied by not having as many Stableford events on Sundays and having more stroke and par events.

Ambroses have been reduced but still remain when course renovations are being done.

A father and son event has been included.

One Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, there is a four-club event.

However the biggest change is that the singles championship will be played on two weekends from October 11.

The Everglades Pennant Team for the Men's Golf were selected recently.

The teams are as follows.

A Grade: Captain A Kerr, P Callingham, B Carmichael, P Carson, K Dawkins, B James, A McVicker, S O'Brien, S Smith, S Wilson and D Walker as manager.

Colts: Captain S Silvia, B Collins, D Foster, B Hyndes, W MacFarlane, H Marshall and F Quintrell as manager.

Juniors: Captain L Johnson, M Bluff, S Hoyland, T Scott and F Quintrell as manager.

B Grade: Captain P Thorpe, A Blanch, M Anthony, G Heath, B Parsons, I Rand, P Ryan, D Yeend and N Elkin as manager.

C Grade: Captain G Clarke, C Casey, D Ferguson, G Minnett, T Nailard, C New, F Peacock, R Thompson and N Elkin as manager.

This year squads have been chosen rather than teams and from these playing teams will be selected each week.
