Internet system shows the Peninsula
The State Government has unveiled a new internet-based information system, which can be used to view aerial photographs of the Peninsula with various overlays which show land usage.
During a visit to the Central Coast on January 22, planning minister Dr Andrew Refshauge officially launched a website which includes the "Landview" program.
With a click of the mouse on www.iplan.nsw.gov.au/industrylands, businesses and homeowners are able to open Landview and zoom in to see aerial photographs showing the various land usages in the area.
Accessing the website brings up a picture of the Central Coast that looks as if it is taken from a satellite.
The website has a tool bar that allows the user to focus on a particular area and then they can zoom in to their area of interest.
The high definition image allows zooming in on roads, streets, parks, shops and homes.
