Swimming carnival

Pretty Beach Public School’s swimming team recently participated in the Woy Woy Zone Swimming Carnival.

The team finished sixth overall and fifth in the Percentage Shield.

Ben Carter and David Consterdine will go on to participate in the Regional Swimming Carnival.

Ben came second in the 8 years boy’s 50m freestyle, while David gained third place in the 11-year boys 50m breaststroke.

Class teacher Mr Chris McInerney said he was proud of the swimmers both for their efforts in the pool and for their behaviour in the stand and the way they supported each other.

Mr McInerney also thanked all the parents for helping out with transport and for the support they gave to the team.

A special mention went to Geoff Tinker, who acted as team manager.
