Editorial
Welcome to the largest Peninsula News published to date.
This has been made possible with the support of increasing number of sponsors on the Peninsula.
I would like to welcome David Howe to our band of volunteer helpers.
David came to us as a result of a newspaper workshop conducted by editor Mark Snell at our offices on May 2 and somehow "got the newspaper bug".
Another newspaper workshop will be held on Wednesday, May 30.
David's help during two recent busy production periods was invaluable and he was able to compile the "Whats On" page and the tide chart for this edition.
We also had several hours of invaluable assistance from Jethro Bucello who quickly became the expert on scanning photographs as well as cut and paste where required.
Additionally, Chiara Bucello also came in and spent many hours assisting in making up advertisements
While on the subject of volunteers and staff, one of our other willing helpers, Winsome Smith, is currently in hospital recovering from an operation.
We all wish her a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing her back on her feet again.
Finally, by the time the next edition of this newspaper comes out, we will have moved to another address yet to be confirmed.
Our contact details will remain the same however and details of our new location will be published in the next edition.
If you wish to become involved with a community newspaper, please let us know.
