'JR' dies

Jeffrey Roy "JR" Davis, of Woy Woy, died at the age of 72 recently.

Bom in England, Jeff had seen it all.

He was evacuated in the Second World War as a young boy, served with the Royal Signals peace corp in the late 1940s in the Middle East and Venice.

He married Pauline on June 6, 1953.

Jeff worked with Hoover in the United Kingdom before migrating to Australia in 1963 to work with Hoover here.

Jeff left Hoover to open his own Hoover Service Centre with his brother 1974.

Although retiring in 1989, he could not sit still and opened Jayars Appliances late in l990.

He was well respected within his industry and was always the gentleman.

He leaves behind his wife of 48 years two sons, six grand children, brothers and a sister and many other relatives and friends.
