Peter leaves club

Peter McDougall has resigned from Woy Woy Leagues Club after 13 years to pursue other interests and spend more time with his family and friends.

Peter has been with the club since it opened.

He started as a casual employee and worked his way up to be a supervisor and in most recent years duty entertainment manager.

Peter’s forte was game show promotions, organising functions and calling bingo.

He was responsible for booking such bands as the Divinyls, Elton Jack, Kevin Borich and top acts John Williamson, James Morrison, Monica Trapaga and Rene Geyer.

A farewell dinner was held for Peter at the Oceania Restaurant at Ettalong with over 50 friends.

To show their appreciation, local entertainers dedicated songs such as "Simply the Best" and "I Did it My Way" to Peter.
