Nominations sought

Peninsula residents may nominate a local aboriginal person for the NAIDOC Week Central Coast Koori Community Awards.

These awards acknowledge and celebrate the contributions of Aboriginal members of our community.

Categories of achievement include community services or humanities, art and culture, work and sport.

There are awards in each category for a young person as well as an adult female and male.

There is also an award for an Aboriginal community service organisation.

Nominations close on June 22 and awards will be presented in a ceremony during NAIDOC Week, held July 8 to 15.
