South St tender let

Gosford Council has granted a tender to Matcham's Coastal Asphalt to reconstruct South St in Umina.

The work involves shoulder reconstruction of about 300 metres of South St, kerb and gutter, concrete footpath, stormwater drainage works and other associated works.

The work commenced earlier this month and will take about six weeks to complete.

Council received 10 tenders from companies as far afield as western Sydney and Newcastle, as well as local businesses including one from Umina.

Council also awarded itself a tender for the reconstruction of Bourke Rd in Umina.

The work involves the full road construction of about 300 metres of Bourke Rd, kerb and gutter, concrete footpath and associated works.

Work will take six weeks to complete and is due to start soon.

Council received 10 tenders from the same companies as those vying for the South St works.
