Charity day raises $4000

Umina Beach Bowling Club's women members held their annual charity day recently and raised $4050 for Woy Woy Hospital.

Stalls included pick-a-box, cakes, crafts, plants, white elephants and books as well as a number of raffles.

Mrs Maureen Hart representing the hospital's auxiliary and Ms Helen Merkenhof, director of nursing, were present to accept the cheque from bowls president Mrs A. Bullen.
