Elephant found

I write regarding "Elephant left behind in shop" (Peninsula News, October 24).

My son Brenden, and his friend Belinda Wetenhall are the couple in the photograph.

It was taken in Chang-Mai, Northern Thailand, in December 1997.

On return to Australia, they had put the negative in to Bowen's Photographics in Woy Woy and asked me to collect it.

It could not be located. I assumed it was in the name of Maskey.

The staff were gracious and duly searched for it, and ended up enlarging from the small print we had.

Brenden and Belinda both enjoy careers that necessitate travel, Brendan with the defence forces (4th RAR Commando Unit) and Belinda in media communications, currently in London.

We have lived on the Peninsula for 15 years, 14 at Umina and now at Koolewong.

Attached is a current photo of Brenden Maskey and Belinda Wetenhall.

Your paper brings us excellent coverage of local events and maintains up-to-date knowledge of the area for readers.

We enjoy each issue.
