Australia Day nominations wanted

Gosford Council is calling for nominations for its Australia Day Community Awards.

Nominations are open for people in the community who have achieved or excelled over the last 12 months.

Categories include sports, cultural, senior citizens, young person, disabled person (or service to the disabled), business person, service to the community and environment.

An award will also be presented for Gosford City Citizen of the Year.

Nomination forms are available from Gosford Council offices and libraries and nominations will be accepted until Friday, December 29.

Awards will be presented at a special dinner at Old Sydney Town on January 19.
