Fishing news

Over the last couple of weeks, anglers have bagged some good fish.

Broken Bay has produced some good catches of tailor and salmon giving anglers with lighter gear a real run for their money.

Outside Half Tide Rocks, the scene has been changing on a daily basis, with varying water temperatures and current strengths.

If fortunate to choose the right days, you could well come up trumps, with some nice snapper and morwong being boated over the last week or two.

Rock and beach fishos have done it tough over recent weeks, although I am told one angler did well near Pearl Beach Point, landing a couple of nice groper.

Inside fishos have had to work hard for their catches.

Although many good fish have been caught, several flathead over the three kilo mark have been taken.

I would prefer to see these fish photographed and released.

A 12 kilo molloway was boated near Gosford rail bridge and several smaller caught in Paddys Channel and around the Rip Bridge.

Until next time, good fishing and stay safe.
