Everglades Ladies come second

Everglades Bowling Club Ladies team recently was runner-up in the State Pennants held at Rydalmere.

The team made the final before losing to South Wagga Wagga 17-25 and 16-35.

A report in the journal of the NSW Women's Bowling Association, Bowls News, said good weather greeted players on the day.

State president of the association, Ms Lenore Dunn, said all the players put in a wonderful display of bowling, which provided a great deal of interest and excitement from the many spectators.

The Everglades team was S. Packer, J. Renehan, P. Walsh, M.Lammi, J Weate, N. Pengelly, D. Stevens and M. Rose.
