SRC sells bears

Umina High School's student representative council (SRC) has sold Bandaged Bears to help children being cared for at the New Children's Hospital, Westmead.

"All proceeds went to these special children and we are very proud to support them," said publicity officer Kristin Scholes.

A World Vision Conference was held on March 31, April 1 and 2.

Rebecca and Erin Stebbing attended the camp to learn leadership skills and to learn how to raise money for the 40-Hour Famine.

National Board Shorts Day was held on Friday, April 7, to raise money for youth suicide awareness. Gold coin donations were accepted for research.

A few SRC members were asked to a meeting at Henry Kendall High School for a conference on the restructuring of local high schools.
