Sex education at Empire Bay

A program is being run by the Interrelate counselling service at Empire Bay Public School.

The program commenced on May 22 and is presented by Monica Tasker, an Interrelate Educator, who will introduce the subject "Sexuality Education" to the primary school and parents.

Children are not to attend without parents.

An information flyer detailing the session content was sent home recently.

The first session, "Where Did I Come From", suitable for Years 3 and 4, commenced at 7pm.

The second session, "Preparing for Puberty", suitable for Years 5 and 6, commenced at 8.15pm.

Families were invited to attend one or both sessions.
