Aboriginal meetings held

The Aboriginal Student Support and Parent Awareness Program (ASSPA) has held its first two meetings at Umina High for the year.

had significant sporting achievements this year.

Year 7 student Mitchell Markham was the age champion at the school swimming carnival in February.

Three boys participated in the Central Coast Ten-a-Side Rugby Tournament in March.

They were Cameron Dixon and Aaron Gorrel of Year 11, and Robbie Smith of Year 10.

Robbie was a member of the Year 10 team which won the tournament and is now the Central Coast Rugby Champion, set to play in the State final in Sydney next term.

Sarah Hardcastle of Year 8 attended an Aboriginal all-girls education and motivation seminar at Jamberoo Valley Lodge.
