Television for Meals on Wheels

Central Coast branch of the National Seniors Association has presented a television set and VCR to Woy Woy Meals on Wheels President Mrs Doreen Hoad.

The electronic equipment will be used to train staff and volunteers.

Branch president Mr Ian Hewitt announced the presentation.

The equipment was purchased using a donation of $500 from the Central Coast branch NSA members.

Money raised by the branch was put back into the community with donations to charities and organisations caring for people over 50, the age that people are eligible to join NSA.

In the last few years, the Central Coast branch has donated almost $4000 to such organisations.

There are more than 2000 members of the branch.
