Spending planned on recreation

The recreation department of Gosford Council will spend $700,000 on Peninsula works over the next two financial years.

Of this, $600,000 will come from section 94 contributions, which are compulsory developer fees.

The section 94 money will be spent on Umina Regional Park with $500,000 earmarked for this financial year and a further $100,000 next financial year.

The Patonga Caravan Park will receive $50,000 a year over the next two financial years for work on the park's amenities building.

A further $250,000 will be needed to complete the work.

The Peninsula works are part of $2,057,200 that will be spent city-wide over the next two years.
