Pelicans hold carnival

Ettalong Pelicans Masters swimming club held its annual carnival at Woy Woy pool on Saturday October 14.

The Pelicans were placed first in the average points per swimmer score with Port Macquarie in second place.

In the overall score, Pelicans with 837 points were placed second to the powerful Cessnock which who achieved 880 points.

However the Pelicans won the prestigious Lance Clarke Challenge Relay over Cessnock who were the winners last year.

A new event was introduced on a trial basis called the 25m Skins event for the fastest six men and six women.

This also proved to be successful and hopefully will become an annual event in the program.

Ettalong Pelicans meet at Woy Woy indoor heated pool on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 7.45 pm.

New members will be made welcome.

For further information, telephone Fred Elsom on 4360 1220.
