Fishing news

With a bit more rain, the fishing scene should liven up.

There have been some good catches in Brisbane Water and outside, although the recent weather hasn’t been exactly kind to the fishoes.

East and west reefs are beginning to fire with some good mixed-bag catches.

The flathead grounds have been producing well, many fishoes scoring double hook-ups, adding to a little more excitement.

One happy angler scored a nice 3.5kg flathead drifting Paddys channel.

Some good whiting and bream have been caught in the same area, with the leases producing good bream.

Ettalong and the Hardy’s Bay area have also been kind to anglers, with whiting, bream and flathead on the menu.

Some nice size school jewies have been taken by the keen fishoes willing to put in the effort.

In between some lumpy seas and winds the beach and rock boys have been doing very well with many excellent catches reported.
