Rotary holds charity auction

The Rotary Club of Umina Beach will be conducting a Trivial Pursuit Night and Charity Auction at Everglades Country Club from 7.15pm on Friday, October 27.

The fundraising activities will be hosted by Dr John Irvine, local child psychologist, TV and radio presenter and author.

At about 9pm on the evening a number of items related to sport and the Olympic Games will be auctioned.

Proceeds will go to Woy Woy High School and towards the cost of religious education on the Peninsula.

The items will include a Telstra Dolphins Team Swim Shirt autographed by the medal winning Australian Olympic swimming team and an Olympic athlete's singlet autographed by Cathy Freeman, Melinda Gainsford-Taylor, Nova Peris-Kneebone, Andrew Gaze and Australian basketball wonder-boy Luc Longley as well as others.

The autographed outfit worn by Nicole Hackett when she won the World Triathlon Championship will also be auctioned.

Other items to be auctioned will include a signed, framed photograph of Olivia Newton-John and two one-week holidays at the Calypso Holiday Park at Yamba NSW.

Absentee or telephone bids can be arranged.

Tables of eight may be booked with tickets at $5 per person.
