Recycling guide

The Central Coast Waste Board has released a guide on businesses that sell and buy recycled goods.

The board has identified the following companies in the Peninsula area:

Anaconda Waste Services, Empire Bay, 4325 0888 - grease trap wastes accepted.

Bliss Demolitions, Woy Woy, 4344 3068 - bricks/tiles, timber accepted and sold.

Complete Earth, Empire Bay, 4369 0552 - worms sold.

Peninsula Worms, Woy Woy, 4341 6105 - worms sold.

The board is one of eight regional waste boards in New South Wales established in 1995 with the introduction of the Waste Minimisation and Management Act.

One of its aims is to reduce waste going to landfill by carrying out projects identified in the Regional Waste Plan.
