Reports of students stalked

Ettalong public school has advised parents of reports of people stopping to talk to students.

They have been told of a man with shoulder length greasy hair in a white car, following children near the Ettalong shops and in Barrenjoey and Bourke Roads.

"We ask that you do not allow your children to walk to or from school alone and ensure they are monitored outside of school hours," said principal Mr Bruce Donaldson in the school newsletter.

Events were said to have occurred around the streets of Ettalong and Ettalong Wharf.

Mr Donaldson said that children should be reminded about the "No, Go, Tell" child protection lesson.

"No: say no to strangers.

"Go: go away from strangers and frightening situations.

"Tell: tell parents or a responsible adult and the teacher what has happened," he said.
