Bizsafe discussed

A police crime prevention officer and the Peninsula Project manager Ms Julie Parsons discussed the new Bizsafe program with local businesses as part of Community Safety Week activities recently.

Police and Chamber of Commerce representatives spoke about safety on the Peninsula on November 3 outside Ettalong Beach Memorial Club.

Community Safety Week, which ran from November 8 to 16, aimed to broaden public awareness of issues and approaches to community safety at a local level.

The theme was "Safer Communities - make the difference".

Initiatives crossed the areas of crime prevention, injury prevention, emergency services and community development.
