Retain Telstra shares for the bush
To Liberal or Labor or someone who cares.
Remember what happened to commonwealth banks?
The Government should keep 10 per cent of the shares of the private sale, with the profit of the shares each year going towards keeping country banks from closing and to keeping towns alive.
So sell Telstra, privatise Telstra. But keep 1.5 per cent for every state in Australia.
Seven states times 1.5 per cent would equal 10.5 per cent of the private shares belonging to Australia, never to be sold.
The interest from the shares each year would go to trouble spots in the outback and isolated towns.
Australia could own 10.5 per cent forever.
Whoever is in power, no one should sell Medibank Private.
