Brian is club champion

Brian Carmichael from Everglades Country Club has won the club championship with a four-round total of 286, highlighted by a two-under-par 66 in round three.

His lead of six shots going into the final round was sufficient to hold off a last-round challenge by runner-up Luke Johnson who finished three shots behind Brian on 289.

Luke also capped off his last year as a junior with a 54-hole total of 218 to win his third consecutive junior championship.

However, in the senior division, Bill Capewell won the 54-hole senior championship with a score of 233.

Steven Emms won the inaugural Ray Mason Trophy, which was incorporated in the first round of the club championships.

He had the best net score over the field of 65.
