Australia Day births wanted

The Australia Day Committee is calling for Peninsula residents born on January 26 to be part of the Australia Day celebrations for 2004.

Anyone who may know a "26er" is also encouraged to contact the committee through Peninsula News on 4342 2070.

As part of the celebrations, nominations for Gosford Council Australia Day Awards are also being sought.

Award categories include sport, senior citizen, disability, service to the community, cultural, young person, business person and environmental.

Nominations need to be submitted by Wednesday, December 31.

An award is also presented to the Gosford Citizen of the Year.

Nomination forms are available at all Council libraries and offices, senior citizens' centres or by telephoning 4325 8332.
