Modern spin on classic tale

The Peninsula Dance and Theatre School will present a modern spin on the classic tale of Alice in Wonderland at Laycock St Theatre on November 28 and 29.

In the new version, Alice is a bratty teenager doing anything to get out of school.

What this teenager doesn't count on is a magic wish that sends her spinning into a wonderland not quite like the one Alice ends up in.

"If you love fairytales, then you'll love this one, from the crazy antics of the Tweedles to the mad hatter's tea party " said Angela Denman from the Theatre School said.

The shows are at Laycock St Theatre at 7.30pm on Friday, November 28 and at 1.30pm and 7.30pm on Saturday, November 29.

For tickets, phone the theatre on 4323 3233.
