Riding program
Students from Woy Woy Public School travel to Kariong each Thursday to participate in the riding for the disabled program.
During each session they learn basic riding skills such as how to mount and dismount as well as how to command and steer their horse.
The students learn grooming techniques and the names of specialised equipment used.
They are given a range of different experiences, from skill activities in the arena to trail rides through parklands.
"The program is a great source of learning and enjoyment for all our students," coordinator Michelle Pathirana said.
