Transport service for young people

A new transport service targeting young people living on the Peninsula was launched September 22.

The service, known as the 4Cs Transport Brokerage, is a pilot project funded by the NSW Government.

The objective of the service will be to provide information and transportation assistance services to young people who are experiencing transport disadvantage on the Peninsula.

Transportation assistance will initially be provided to assist the target group access, education, vocational training and employment.

To provide transportation assistance services, 4Cs is asking for support from the community.

It needs volunteers who are willing to be drivers of their own or other vehicles, including mini-buses.

It also needs community organisations to make their minibuses available, when not required for their own purposes.

For more information, contact co-ordinator Roger Hunt on 4322 4922.
