Water lily golf pairs played

The Everglades Country Club's Water Lily Pairs were played on September 15 with 38 teams participating.

There were teams from Wamberal, Halekulani, Lake Munmorah and as far away as Teralalta.

This event was for under and over five year players.

First prize went to R McLean and M Brown from Ettalong

Fourth prize went to P Ryan and L Holmes from Umina

Everglades Country Club Major Triples finals were played on August 7.

The winners were skip G Hewson, S O'Connor and, V Leggett.

The runners up were skip M. Smith, D Tapp and G Mantle.

Everglades had good results at the "Pelican Pairs" played at The Entrance Bowling Club during the first week of August.

Fay Cross and G Edwards took out sixth prize, L Bryant and E Vincent took out third prize, and P Walsh and A Tucker took out second prize.

In the major pairs finals the winners were G. Hewson and D. Tapp, the runners up were J. Renehan and P. Wallace

The Buckworth Shield was played on the August 26, participants included K Pattison, P Fulton, S Medhurst, V Rutter, D Wynd, J Vigar, M Knight and J King.

They were runners-up for second with Umina.
