New organic business opens

A business selling organic food has opened in Woy Woy.

The Gnostic Healing Sanctuary and Organics Market opened on Wednesday, October 1, in The Boulevarde, Woy Woy.

The new venture completes the Gnostic trilogy, which includes Gnostic Forest and Gnostic Mana Cafe.

The business is situated on the redeveloped site which previously housed the Gnostic Forest retail shop.

Emily Holstein and Keren Thaler, operators of the sanctuary and organic market, said that they were excited about the opening of the latest chapter in the Gnostic story.

"The building looks great and the Gnostic Forest team are excited to be moving back in," Ms Thaler said.

"When Gnostic Forest first came to Woy Woy in 1997, it was known that this site would be redeveloped and here it is," Ms Holstein said.

The Gnostic Forest retail shop will remain in its new location in The Boulevarde.

The organic market will provide fresh organic produce as well as meats and grain.

It will also stock non-alcoholic wines and beers, natural beauty products and organic grains and products for a variety of dietary needs.

The sanctuary will have massage therapists, spiritual surgery and Reiki.

The centre will also have a a massage table to facilitate head and shoulder massages during lunch hours.

Mary Holstein and Jacquie Birch own Gnostic Forest and have stakes in the healing sanctuary and organic market.

"The building looks great and landlord, David Chandler, has once again provided Woy Woy with a beautiful, top quality piece of architecture."

Mary said she was pleased to have her daughter, Emily, join Keren Thaler to manage the new business.

"As this is their first business, these two young women are full of enthusiasm and excitement," Mary said.

Mary's son, Jacob, who is training in hospitality, and another daughter, Gabrielle, will take on the day to day management of the cafe next year.
