Annette wins enamelling award
Woy Woy resident Annette Clarke took out the Val Annear Trophy for enamelling at a recent National Gem Show.
Annette, who teaches enamelling at the Central Coast Lapidary Club, has taken out awards in previous years.
Enamelling is the art of fusing molten glass onto a metallic object usually copper, silver or gold. Most artists use copper.
Mrs. Clake's winning piece was a cloisonne tumbler with a design of flannel flowers on it.
Annette's work will be on display at the club's annual Gem and Mineral Festival, which will be held at the Wyong Memorial Hall on October 18 to 19.
