Skate boarders cause damage
Ettalong Public School has been damaged by skate boarders using the school grounds over weekends.
The schools newsletter reported that seats, windows, lunch tables and garden plants had been broken over the weekend of September 20-21.
"A group of young people are skateboarding in the school grounds after school and at weekends, this group is causing damage to our school," said principal Mr Bruce Donaldson.
"It is only a matter of time before they are charged with vandalising school property."
The newsletter also noted that thieves who broke into the school in early September had been caught and charged.
"Over the holidays, the police and Department of Education will be putting extra security guards and doing extra security checks and will charge and arrest anyone found trespassing on school grounds."
